Classes and Activities

Throughout my two years, I was honored to be able to take the required classes for Global Learning. To name a few, Human Trafficking was by far one of the most interesting classes I could've taken. My definition of the topic was fairly narrow, but when I took this course summer of 2019 I was surprised with the in-depth discussion of what this topic truly represented. Because of this course, I decided to do a voice-over briefing about it for my government class which amazed my professor with how much detail I but within my project. Another class I learned much about was intro to religion. I think learning about religion not only gives a different aspect of different world views. It can also help find yourself which is what happened to me when learning about religion, I was very pleased with a global perspective on topics that I did not think of before

I participated in the international buddy program fall of 2019 and it was an experience that I can never forget. Each person is matched with a buddy based on similarities, to do so we have to participate in a speed dating event where we meet people for less than a minute. I was very excited when I was paired with my buddy from Italy, she taught me so much about the food and culture and even the nightlife. Throughout the semester I gained so much knowledge as well as a great friend as a bonus. Til this day we are super close and we want to travel once we can do so.
