Bio
Who Am I?
My name is Shania Thompson and I am a transfer student at Florida International University, soon to obtain my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a National Security certificate. I was born in New York but after the events that happened with 9/11, I moved out of the country and lived in northern England for over 13 years. When I became a junior in High School I moved back to the states and have lived in Florida til this day.

After graduating from HS I went to a private Christian school called Palm Beach Atlantic University where I majored in Pre-Law and then Political Science. It wasn't until the middle of my sophomore year that I decided to transfer so I would be able to get a major that was broader. When I came to FIU, not only did I immediately feel at home but I also felt a sense of enjoyment from others which such as global diversity.

I wanted to learn more about different countries and know more about their food and cultures. As well as have the opportunity to venture out and get different perspectives. Which is why I decided to currently obtain a Global Medallion. After graduation, I am planning on working with the Department of Homeland Security and get a job with Immigration and Customs. Thank you for visiting my page and I hope my experience was a joyful read!
